State Track Results

Chandler Lions had a great showing at State Friday and Saturday! The Girls’ team finished 6th overall and the Guys’ team finished 13th.

Congratulations to the following athletes:

Senior- J Duncan – 1st place 110 meter hurdles, 3rd place in the 300 meter hurdles

Senior- Kaden Grubbs – 9th place Discus and 9th place Shot Put

Senior- Carson Jackson – 3rd place 400 meter dash, 3rd place 1600 meter relay, 4th place 400 meter relay, 5th place 800 meter relay

Junior- Cruz Jackson – 3rd place 400 meter dash

Junior- Cali Hilgenfeld – 3rd place 100 meter dash, 3rd place 1600 meter relay, 4th place 400 meter relay, 5th place 800 meter relay

Junior- Tiffany Thompson – 15th place Shot Put

Sophomore- Lexi Martzall – 3rd place 1600 meter relay, 4th place 400 meter relay, 5th place 800 meter relay

Freshman- Madelyn Bridge – 13th place 3200 meter run

Freshman- Sam Hall – 15th place Discus

Freshman- Brooklyn Hammons – 3rd place 1600 meter relay, 4th place 400 meter relay, 5th place 800 meter relay

Freshman- Eli Smithey – 11th place Shot Put

May 1, 2023: Several members of the CHS Track Team qualified for state during the OSSAA 3A Regional Meet at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee on Monday, April 29. The OSSAA 3A Track & Field State Track Meet will be held May 3-4 in Catoosa. 

The Chandler girls were the Regional Runner-Up. The relay teams finished first in all three races: 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400. Members of the relay teams are senior Carson Jackson, junior Cali Hilgenfeld, sophomore Lexi Martzall and freshman Brooklyn Hammons. 

Individual qualifiers are Seniors: Jay Duncan first in both 110m and 300m Hurdles; Kaden Grubbs, 2^nd in Shot Put, 3^rd in Discus; Carson Jackson 2^nd in 400m

Juniors: Cali Hilgenfeld, 1st in 100m; Cruz Jackson placed 3^rd in both the 200m and 400m; Tiffany Thompson was 3rd in Shot Put

Freshmen: Madeleyn Bridge, 4th in 3200m; Sam Hall, 2nd in Discus; Eli Smithey, 4th in Shot Put
