Earp Wins Regional Wrestling Tournament; Chandler Will Send Five Wrestlers to State
Junior Landon Earp captured the OSSAA 3A West Regional Wrestling title at 113 pounds. He dominated his weight group with two opening round pins followed by a tech fall on Saturday morning. In the championship match Earp defeated Justin Choate of Marlow by major decision 9-0 on Saturday night in Kingfisher. This year will be Earp’s third consecutive state tournament appearance.
Sophomore Bryar Dryden also advanced by placing fourth at regionals. After an early loss Friday to the eventual regional champion from Pawnee, Dryden battled through the consolation bracket to earn his spot at state.
Freshmen Lizzy Pryor, Brylee Waldman, and junior Shaylee Penn all advanced from the HS Girls Regional Tournament on February 17.

Landon Earp, Regional Champion, 113 lbs
Bryar Dryden, 4th place, 157 lbs
Lizzy Pryor, 3rd place 110 lbs
Shailey Penn, 3rd place 120 lbs
Brylee Waldman, 4th Place 155 lbs
The OSSAA State Wrestling Tournament will be held Feb 27-March 1 at the State Fair Arena in Oklahoma City.
