Homeless Students – McKinney-Vento program

The Mckinney-Vento program is for students who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence such as:

  • Shared housing
  • Living in motels or campgrounds, transitional housing, shelters
  • Living in cars, parks, abandoned buildings, substandard housing
  • Migratory children living in the above circumstances
  • Unaccompanied youth - a homeless child not in the physical custody of a parent or legal guardian

If a student is identified as homeless based on the above definition, please let us know so we can start providing resources and necessities through the program. If you are unsure if a student would qualify, our Coordinator will be happy to figure it out with you.

Please ask me or any school personnel to put you in contact with the Coordinator.
