Chandler Public Schools

I began teaching at Park Road in August of 2008.  I taught 3rd grade for 5 years and have taught 5th grade for the past 2 years.  I am currently the Language and Writing teacher for 5th grade!

I have also taught at Cushing Middle School in 7th and 8th grade.  I taught Speech and Communications, and Yearbook and Journalism.  I was also the cheer and pom coach for the middle school there.

I married Kevin Hughey in June of 2009.  He is a Police Officer in Shawnee.  We have 3 beautiful children.  Tyson who is 11 and in 7th grade at the Junior High, Rylie who is 4 and she is in Pre-K, and Paisley who is 16 months old.....she is attending at a babysitters house :)

We have 2 dogs, Misho and Boomer.  Boomer is a Westie and loves attention and makes us laugh.  Misho is a German Shepherd and is a wonderful police k9 that works with my husband!

My daughter Rylie just beat stage 5 kidney cancer last January so I love to brag about that!  She is the strongest kid I know!

I love sports! My son plays several sports including football, cross country, basketball, baseball, and soccer.  I also play softball from time to time! I used to coach basketball and softball but I haven't since I had Rylie.

Rylie just beat stage 5 kidney cancer this January, so I love to help out with different non profit organizations to raise awareness and money for other families that are going through the same thing!!!
